SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Elon Musk may want to send “tweet” back to the birds, but the ubiquitous term for posting on the site he now calls X is here to stay — at least for now.For one, the word is still plastered all over the site formerly known as Twitter. Write a post, you still need to press a blue button that says “tweet” to publish it. Gilroy man arrested on suspicion of assault, vandalism

(BCN) -- Police in Gilroy arrested a 38-year-old man who allegedly broke establishment windows and punched a car's windshield with a person still inside the vehicle. The Gilroy Police Department identified Mauricio Medina-Vera, a resident of Gilroy, as the suspect in acts of assault and vandalism that prompted multiple 911 calls from concerned citizens Wednesday morning. Before his arrest, police received multiple reports of a man using concrete blocks and a metal chair to break windows of business establishments at the Gilroy Premium Outlets on Leavesley Road. The police department alleged Medina-Vera also approached a woman in a car and used his fist to hit the windshield while she was still seated in the driver's seat. SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KRON) -- Taylor Swift fans are gathering by the hundreds early Thursday morning at Levi's Stadium, not to go to the show, but to get their hands on Taylor Swift merchandise. The merchandise truck opens at 10 a.m., however many people began to line up once the gates opened at midnight. "My girls, I've taken them to all the concerts except one. We had to make sure we came down for this one. It took us six hours to get down here with all the traffic," said Stephanie who is visiting from Nevada. WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden’s administration on Thursday announced the first cancer-focused initiative under its advanced health research agency, aiming to help doctors more easily distinguish between cancerous cells and healthy tissue during surgery and improve outcomes for patients.The administration’s Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health, or ARPA-H, is launching a Precision Surgical Interventions program, seeking ideas from the public and private sectors to explore how to dramatically improve cancer outcomes in the coming decades by developing better surgical interventions to treat the disease.ARPA-H is modeled after the military-focused DARPA, which spawned the internet and GPS. 2-month-old at center of Amber Alert found safe

DENVER (KDVR) — A missing 2-month-old that was at the center of a statewide Amber Alert has been safely located. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has confirmed that the 2-month-old baby has been located and is safe.Luis Novelo-Rojas, 35 was arrested in Denver, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office. He was wanted along with 39-year-old Ashley Ardolino in an Amber Alert after allegedly taking their 2-month-old daughter.The mother was also taken into custody on Thursday. Statewide Amber Alert issued for 2-month-oldAccording to the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office, the baby has been living with a family member in Pueblo West for the past month after her mother allegedly made statements about hurting her. Workers vote to form Colorado's first union for homeless shelter

DENVER (KDVR) - On Wednesday, workers at Urban Peak officially voted to form a union after reports of a lack of training and support for workplace trauma, according to a Service Employees International Union Local 105 press release. This is set to be the first-ever union at a Colorado homeless shelter. Workers at Urban Peak said they suffered physical and mental demands, especially involving death around the workplace. But this newest store will be missing the brand's signature pink color.On Aug. 1, Voodoo Doughnut will hold a grand opening in Boulder.
